It's likely to not work. Certainly, on S/390 it was a big problem with SuSE. The problem is that the Windows ftpd directory listings don't look like Unix directory listings.
I suggest you ask about this on the boot-floppies list as that's where the installer gurus hang out, and they will know better than most what works, what doesn't.
