I am trying to install debian on an old computer with floppy disks and an
ethernet connection. Everything works flawlessly until I get to "Install
Base System". For "Install base system" I am using my ethernet connection
(which is up and can resolve/ping/download/etc.) using a variety of mirrors
(ftp.debian.org/debian, http.us.debian.org/debian, ftp.uk.debian.org/debian
and ftp.de.debian.org/debian). Everything in this goes well (it can receive
all files and validates them), however once this step is complete I get an
error message "Couldn't download gettext-base".
I am not sure if this is a bug, I have restarted the installation several
times.
Thanks for any insight.
