The following seems to work...
1) In a shell, type
infocmp linux > linux
2) Edit the linux file:
* add enacs=\E(B\E)0
* change rmacs to rmacs=^O
* change smacs to smacs=^N
3) In a shell, type
tic linux
This will create a file ".terminfo/l/linux" that will be used by
the linux consoles.
