You probably just want to add a nameserver line (up to 3) to your /etc/resolv.conf e.g: nameserver ip.of.your.server man resolv.conf for more info on this file. You might also read this: http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/reference/ch-gateway.en.html#s-dns-resolver for more info on the possible setup.
