Dear [EMAIL PROTECTED]
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Dear AlphaLinux!

I tried doing as you told me about "RSH on Linux" but it still has not OK yet.
Some messages occur when I type as following:
#ps -ax| grep portmap
355 ?  S 0:00 portmap
766 tty1 S 0:00 grep portmap

I have inserted 2 lines into /etc/hosts.allow file:
portmap : 192.168.0.0/255.255.0.0 : allow
portmap : ALL : deny

But "rsh" still doesn't run ok:
#rsh node5
node5: conection refused
Trying krb4 rlogin...
node5: conection refused
trying normal rlogin (/usr/bin/rlogin)

Meanwhile, command "ping" run OK
#ping node5
PING node5 (192.1.1.5) from 192.1.1.5 56(84) bytes of data
64 bytes from node5 (192.1.1.5): icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=0.1ms
64 bytes from node5 (192.1.1.5): icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=0.0ms
64 bytes from node5 (192.1.1.5): icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=0.0ms
...
and
#ping node2 - run OK

What can I do to corect this problem?
(My machine is an ALPHASERVER with 6 node, the Linux version is
Red Had Linux reales 6.2 (Zoot) - Kernel 2.2.14-6.0 on an alpha).

If using SSH kind of SSH is appropriate for my machine and where I could get them?
I hope you continue help me. Thank you very much.
I look forward to hearing your answers.
