If you use Gnome, I think you can simply copy them into your home directory by drag-and-drop. Or use the cp command as described in previous answers. If you just want to access your windows files, you don't need the CD. Do (as root): mkdir /windows mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /windows (Assuming that the windows partition is the first partition on the first harddisk and its type is vfat [the older windows file system].)
