Folks,
I'm having trouble figuring out how to configure my
sound card (I'm running Sarge), due to the fact that I
can't quite understand the specs of my motherboard.
My computer's specs seem to indicate a sound module
twice:
• VIA KT600 + VT8237 Chipset
• Integrated C-Media CMI9739A 6-channel audio CODEC
In any case, the machine doesn't seem to know even
what sound card I have. KMix says "Unknown" when I
open it. I installed the alsa packages, and I made
sure in the aumixrc file, the volumes weren't muted.
Still, no sound.
Any clues/suggestions?
