Okay, Athlon XP is significantly cheaper.
However, one can configure a system with Opteron 14{2,4}, Athlon64{28,30}00 and a dual Athlon MP for much the same price.
Has anyone seen any performance data to compare such systems, or have experiences to share?
Mobo or other recommendations?
ps I note the Athlon FX cpus are _very_ much dearer than the Opterons. Does anyone here know why?
