Check your /etc/modutils/alsa, it needs something like:
# Restore mixer settings:
post-install snd-ice1712 /usr/sbin/alsactl restore
pre-remove snd-ice1712 /usr/sbin/alsactl store
In place of snd-ice1712 list your snd-card-0.
