Hello all, I would like to install the lirc module. I have a precompiled kernel image (2.4.25-1-k7) from the official debian package. Therefore, in order to get the lirc module, I downloaded (and installed) the lirc-modules-source and the kernel-source-2.4.25 packages. Finally, in order to compile the lirc module, I typed the following commands: root# make-kpkg --revision rev.01 --append_to_version -1-k7 modules_image root# cd .. root# dpkg -i lirc-modules-2.4.25-1-k7_0.6.6-7+rev.01_i386.deb
I get the following error: Selecting previously deselected package lirc-modules-2.4.25-1-k7. (Reading database ... 119677 files and directories currently installed.) Unpacking lirc-modules-2.4.25-1-k7 (from lirc-modules-2.4.25-1-k7_0.6.6-7+rev.01_i386.deb) ...
