I'm personally only interested in gnumeric, as I don't use any other 
gnome apps.  It looks as though I am best advised to sit it out and 
hope it is sorted in a few days.  Meanwhile, I can copy files to 
another machine and print from there.

I'm not complaining either -- just trying to use each opportunity to
