Is it a soundblaster, or a soundblaster live! card?  They use different
kernel modules (sb and emu10k1, I think).  Also, is it ISA or PCI - if
it's a PCI card, isapnp won't be much help.  If it's PCI, make sure the
BIOS has 'PnP OS' (or similar) set to off, and it should set up the
IO/IRQ assignments for you just fine.
