Hello A member of a local linux user group was having trouble getting his cd writer working under debian. He said that he was using kernel-image-2.4.18-bf2.4. I did the following:
# apt-file search sr_mod.o and got the following output: kernel-image-2.4.16-386 kernel-image-2.4.16-586 kernel-image-2.4.16-586tsc kernel-image-2.4.16-686-smp kernel-image-2.4.16-686 kernel-image-2.4.16-k6 kernel-image-2.4.16-k7 kernel-image-2.4.18-386 kernel-image-2.4.18-586tsc kernel-image-2.4.18-686-smp kernel-image-2.4.18-686 kernel-image-2.4.18-k6 kernel-image-2.4.18-k7 All seemed OK. I would write to this guy and tell him that he needed to install one of the above or compile a kernel with the needed scsi support. Then I noticed that there was no mention of the 2.2.20 kernel images. Anyone know what might be the problem. Not a big problem, but still. t.irvine -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
