it can't do modules, patches and version yet, so effectively, it is
only a centralized repository for configs. i have that part working.

i am not saying this is a bad package, just that it doesn't suit my
needs yet.

i'll work on it.

in the meantime, maybe someone can tell me what to do about the
/usr/src/modules and /usr/src/kernel-patches trees, which are owned
by root. the last time i built a kernel as root must have been like
1876 or so... and at least kernel-patch-freeswan as well as
pcmcia-modules want to change files in these trees during compilation.

right now i rsync to a tempdir them before every build. is there
a better way?
