Could you tell me if VNC works with Mozilla on the following page? http://www.mozilla.org/projects/mathml/demo/basics.xhtml The problem seems to come from MathML, and perhaps fonts used for MathML. But I couldn't find anyone having the same problem as me. More than a font-only problem, it seems to be a redraw problem.
