Hey Jason, I'm not sure I know what you mean by "globally". Do you mean for all users? Does it work at all? I do this on my laptop (Woody, 2.4.19) through the use of APMD. I put the script below in /etc/apm/resume.d/ called typematic: <bof> #!/bin/sh # Set keyboard repeat rate to something fast case "$1" in resume|start) if [ -f /sbin/kbdrate ]; then kbdrate -r 30 -d 250 else exit 1 fi ;; *) exit 0 ;; esac <eof> It seems to work when the system is rebooted too, although I don't understand how.
