You need to remove the default gateway you configured for your local ethernet interface. Typically, if the ethernet interface has a default gateway, then the pppoe driver won't pick up the default gateway from the DSL connection. If no default gateway is configured, then pppoe will pick up it's default gateway via the DSL connection and set it to the ppp0 interface. madmac > > Do you run a firewall? I use Shorewall.
