Hello, i'm trying to set up the ASE Developer Edition (12.5.0.1/Linux) on a Debian 3.0 system. After converting the rpm's to deb's and installing the packages at /opt/... i started srvbuild (the setup programm for the database server) but "unfourtunately" i get the following error Starting server... Task failed Unable to boot Adaptive Server 'debux' because the master device (/opt/master.dat) does not exist. Server 'debux' was not created. bu using the gdb with the shell command used to create the server i get the following infos Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. [Switching to Thread 1024 (LWP 1184)] 0x400b8582 in vfprintf () from /lib/libc.so.6 bt full #0 0x400b8582 in vfprintf () from /lib/libc.so.6 No symbol table info available. #1 0x400d10c3 in vsprintf () from /lib/libc.so.6 No symbol table info available. #2 0x400c140d in sprintf () from /lib/libc.so.6 No symbol table info available. #3 0x0810f8df in ds__fmt_svr_version () info program Using the running image of child Thread 1024 (LWP 1184).
