I checked again and /var/mai/userme is user userme group mail
the settings for /etc/exim/exim.conf are:
Local_delivery
driver = appendfile
group = mail
mode = 0660
mode_fail_narrower = false
envelope_to_add = true
return_path_add = true
file = /var/spool/mail/${local_part}
By the way: I have a /var_mail partition; is using that as simple as
changing the file = ?
