Sounds as if you have recently upgraded the msttcorefonts package. There was some discussion of this a week or so ago on the list; the way of using these fonts in Debian has changed - see the archive. As a quickfix workaround, you can comment out the relevant line in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 and make sure that these lines come before the others: FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/:unscaled" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/:unscaled" This should get your applications working while you sort out the installation process for the MS fonts. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] || http://www.acampbell.org.uk using Linux GNU/Debian || for book reviews, electronic Windows-free zone || books and skeptical articles -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
