Running /usr/share/debconf/fix_db.pl completed with no ouput. apt-get install mozilla-browser then produced the same output as before. One other piece of information - I just realized that debconf has emailed to root the following message each time I attempted to install mozilla-browser. I haven't acted on it, as I'm not sure what it means. At this point should I submit the bug report, wait for it to be fixed in a new version of mozilla-browser, then try again? This wouldn't be too big a deal as I have a working Konqueror in the meantime. =============forwarded message================================ Previous mozilla could set LD_PRELOAD for gdkxft with wrapper script, but there are some problems with preloading libgdkxft, so now mozilla will *not* touch LD_PRELOAD value in script. If you still want to use gdkxft, please set up LD_PRELOAD value by your own hand. And now, mozilla does not need gdkxft support for Anti-Aliasing text. You can use FreeType2 support in mozilla instead of gdkxft for Anti-Aliasing. for more, see also /usr/share/doc/mozilla-browser/enabling_truetype.html -- Debconf, running at cedar.forestry.utoronto.ca [ Debconf was not configured to display this note, so it mailed it to you. ] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
