Debian 2.2 is the old stable version - you should consider upgrading to 3.0. (NOTE: not strictly necessary. However, xawtv has improved quite a bit). Your problem is probably that the kernel driver for your tv card is not compiled - you'll need to comile a new kernel (I'm assuming you know how to do that - if not, there are hundreds of pages describing that on the net). In the kernel configuration, 'multimedia support', then 'video4linux', there chose the right driver. > are your sure xawtv can use Flyvideo 2000? > they say Flyvideo 2000 use Philips chip. > xawtv use bttv. Wrong. xawtv uses video4linux, which is the generic kernel interface to TV/video hardware. (But nate already said that). cheers -- vbi -- secure email with gpg http://fortytwo.ch/gpg NOTICE: subkey signature! request key 92082481 from keyserver.kjsl.com
