Problem med att starta emacs

Hej!
Jag installerade LysKOM-klienten för emacs (lyskom-elisp-client) och fick då emacs23 installerat på köpet. När jag försöker starta får jag dock bara ett felmeddelande: 

  $ emacs
  Font Lucida Console Semi-Condensed 10' is not defined
  $ emacs --version

Jag kan inte hitta någon inställningsfil som refererar till det 
teckensnittet (och det är inte installerat), vad kan det vara som är 
fel?


Jag kör Debian stable (6.0.6).
