NTFS se puede montar solo para lecutra !!!
Todavia no hay soporte para escrtura de NTFS.
Para poder escrivirlos tendrias que mudar el file system del XP a
fat32, lo cual
le agregaria mas vulnerabilidad en la net dela que ya tiene por el solo
hecho de ser
winXP.
Aveces lo mas aconsejable es tener la parte del system del windows en
NTFS,
y tener otra parte en comun en fat32. Asi lo hago yo, y x ej. en la
parte en comun
(de win. y linux) que es fat32, tengo entre otras cosas los files del
mozilla. Y asi
no importa si estoy en Linux o Windos, los mails simepre bajam al mismo
lugar,
que es compartido ;-) . Se entinede ?? :-\

Tienes que habilitar la lectura y escritura en NTFS desde el kernel. Ya sabes:
File systems-> NTFS file system support
File systems-> NTFS write support
Despues si podras cargarlos usando mount o especificandolo en el fstab
