Como ya te han comentado, revisa los logs Xorg. En las primeras
lineas del mismo explica que significa cada cosa:
Markers: (--) probed, (**) from config file, (==) default setting,
(++) from command line, (!!) notice, (II) informational,
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??)
unknown.
Puedes hacer un, ' cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | egrep "EE|WW" ', para
buscar por advertencias(WW) y errores(EE).
Ahora bien, si has actualizado el kernel, debes de recompilar el
módulo fglrx para el nuevo.
Con el espacio, años ha.. me sucedió algo parecido, solamente que
era pq '/var/' estaba lleno.
En fin, revisa bien los logs, fíjate bien si has actualizado el
kernel, y en todo caso.. envía toda la información que puedas para
que encontremos solución.
