Hola! Varias cosas: 1-Cuando tienes un problema con las X, tras no arrancar el gdm, te sale un diálogo en el cual te pregunta si quieres mirar los logs de error. Échale un vistazo que seguro que alguna pista te da. 2-Esos logs se guardan en /var/log/Xorg.0.log 3-Para reconfigurar las X ejecuta como root lo siguiente: dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg Juega con las opciones segun la tarjeta de video que tengas, el monitor, teclado, ratón etc. 4-Después de acabar de reconfigurar, rearranca gdm, ejecuta como root lo siguiente: /etc/init.d/gdm restart 5-Si no te funciona, vuelve al paso 3. Cuando te canses, péganos por la lista el contenido del fichero de logs que te he indicado en el paso 2 y te podremos ayudar. Te recomiendo que te pelees con el paso 3 varias veces, te aseguro que aprenderás un montón. Suerte!
