tienes que modificar /etc/network/interfaces
un ejemplo:
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.1.10
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1
con esta configuración asignas a la tarjeta eth0 de tu PC la IP
192.168.1.10 y usas como gateway 192.168.1.1 (la ip del router)
