Yo probaría a cambiar el driver de la tarjeta por uno genérico, "nv" por "vesa"
Quedando la sección tal que así:
Section "Device"
Identifier "nvidia tnt2"
Driver "vesa"

Y si sigue sin arrancarte el entorno gráfico, prueba a comentar la
linea inmediatamente inferior:
Section "Device"
Identifier "nvidia tnt2"
Driver "vesa"
#Option "UseFBDev" "true"
EndSection
Si entonces consigues que te arranquen las X, puedes meterle los
drivers de nvidia. Pero eso ya es otro tema ;-)

(debian-user-spanish@lists.debian.org) porque yo normalmente no hago
mucho caso de los emails de la gente que no conozco :-)
Además seguro que hay un monton de gente que sabe más de
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4 Lo que sería dificil es encontrar alguien que
sepa menos ;-)
