Obrigado pela sugestão, mas mudei (temporariamente ??) para o Ubuntu 5.04
Vou tentar verificar como está configurado no 5.04 e copiar para o Sarge 3.1

vc pode tentar usar este, esta ajustado com driver vesa quase certeza
que funciona...
