Ronaldo, achei algo que talvez possa te ajudar http://seclists.org/lists/linux-kernel/2002/Oct/0155.html ele teve um problema muito semelhante ao seu. No caso dele, ele esqueceu de habilitar o suporte no kernel, para o controlador da via. Não sei qual é o seu caso, mas acompanhe a thread que acho que vai te ajudar.
