Bonjour,
Je suis à la recherche d'une carte ayant des drivers libres.
Chez ATI, il est dit qu'ils le sont jusqu'à la 9200.
Est-ce vrai aussi pour la 9200SE et la 9250 ?
Tu trouveras la réponse ici :
http://dri.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/ATIRadeon :
----------
rv280 / M9+
Radeon 2:
* Radeon 9200SE
* Radeon 9200
* Radeon 9250
The difference between the Rv250 and the Rv280 is that the R9200 has AGP
8x while the Rv250 has AGP 4x.
The 9200SE is a toned down version of the 9200 and has half the memory
bandwidth (64 bit versus 128 bit) and lower clock speed (200 MHz versus
250 MHz).
One problem with the 9200SE is that some older XFree86 servers will not
detect the chipset. To make this work, you can manually set the
ChipID 0x5964
or
ChipID 0x5961
to the Device line.

Et pour le support :
----------
3D support in Radeons
Open source 3D acceleration is available on all Radeons up to and
including the 9250 (rv280). The 7800/rv200 and below are supported by
the radeon DRI driver; the 8500 through 9250 are supported by the r200
DRI driver. Both r200 and radeon DRI drivers use the radeon DRM driver.
3D support for r300 based cards (9500 and above) is only available from
[WWW]ATI's binary linux driver
There's a [WWW]project to make an opensource 3D driver for R300 / RV350
/ R350 based chips (Radeon 9500 .. 9800, M10). That would be especially
helpful for newer PPC Laptops with Radeon 9600.
