Et avec cela elle n'est pas affichée, puisque je démarre en GRUB type
terminal (mon /etc/default/grub désactive pourtant ce mode).
Que peut-on dire de ce cas ?

Peut être un problème dans la configuration du thème "emerald-theme" ?
Changer de thème ou enlever les lignes des images de fond ?
