J'avoue que je suis un peu perdu...... et je ne suis surtout pas un informaticien..... Mais un pationné du principe du libre.

Lorsque je lance Xsane j'ai le choix entre dev/usb/scanner0 et
dev/usbscanner. Les deux m'amène à la réponse suivante:

Malheureusement, je n'ai pas d'autre idée et je ne maîtrise pas trop si il faut fouiner.
D'après mon /etc/sane.d/snapscan.conf il y a bien les lignes :
# Epson Perfection 1670 usb 0x04b8 0x011f
que l'on retrouve dans ta configuration.
As-tu essayé de lancer xsane sous root, pour voir ?

à la fin, tu rajoutes (ou décommentes) la ligne:
usb /dev/usb/scanner0
ensuite turenommes ton /home/user/.sane en /home/user/.sane.old et tu relances sane pour voir si cela fonctionne.
en espérant avoir aidé (sinon je ne vois pas) nono
