a) - move the apt dir to /another/location - in /var/cahe: ln -s /another/location/apt apt b) - read apt.conf(5) (Dir::Cache...) - see /usr/share/doc/apt/examples/configure-index.gz - (/etc/apt/apt.conf may be replaced with apt.conf.d/ drop a file there) Regards, Mike Dornberger PS: I've only tested Method a).
