So, the boot: option used was: boot: Linux brltty=ts,tts/1,de The display used is a TSI PowerBraille 80 After reboot, the braille display initialized properly in the installed system on /dev/ttyS1 with the correct translation table and everything. Only problem was that kbd-chooser segfaulted, so I had to ignore that and use US keyboard, also, mkswap did not appear to work, but that was in no way fatal. I used autopartkit, no manual partitioning/fs/mounting... -- CYa, Mario | Debian Developer <URL:http://debian.org/> | Get my public key via finger [EMAIL PROTECTED] | 1024D/7FC1A0854909BCCDBE6C102DDFFC022A6B113E44 --------------------------------------- Received: (at 185593-done) by bugs.debian.org; 23 Sep 2003 20:13:53 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Sep 23 15:13:40 2003 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from kitenet.net [64.62.161.42] by master.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1A1tXR-0005i9-00; Tue, 23 Sep 2003 15:13:33 -0500 Received: from dragon.kitenet.net (pm3naxs3-117.access.naxs.com [216.98.91.117]) (using TLSv1 with cipher DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (Client CN "Joey Hess", Issuer "Joey Hess" (verified OK)) by kitenet.net (Postfix) with ESMTP id 0B70517DEA for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Tue, 23 Sep 2003 20:13:32 +0000 (GMT) Received: by dragon.kitenet.net (Postfix, from userid 1000) id 13C2F6E17B; Tue, 23 Sep 2003 16:16:25 -0400 (EDT) Date: Tue, 23 Sep 2003 16:16:25 -0400 From: Joey Hess <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: thank you for your installation report! It is especially great to hear that a braille install worked.=20 I'm pretty sure that the kbd-chooser segfault is fixed, so I am closing this install report. If you would like to try an install again, and verify that (and also verify that braille installs _still_ work..), that would be excellent.
