I recommend editing your /etc/apt/sources.list, adding 

deb ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ testing main non-free contrib

then issue apt-get update.

Then if you want to install a package from testing, do

apt-get install x -t testing

This way you will have to install the dependencies explicitly I think. 
If that is to tedious for you, google for apt preferences.
