upgrade to testing and ISDN recognition

Recently upgraded one of my boxes to testing via apt-get dist-upgrade
Replied the default no to all config changes.
Replied yes to flex upgrade
Now the problem is with the ipppd.
The daemon starts and returns "can't open configuration file ipppd.ippp0 
- no such file or directory".
The file IS in /etc/isdn/    hmmm...
No comms no luck. yuck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
