Thanks for uploading the images - sadly, the Sparc one failed but with a
different problem. The 'load installer components from CD-ROM' step fails
immediately. I've scraped this out of syslog and it's complaining, as best
I can see, about segmentation faults and a missing file.

The missing file genuinely isn't there - it's looking for Packages, but the
only file in that location is Packages.gz; there is a Release file in a
parent dir somewhere that lists checksums for both (I'm assuming the
Release file drives the content the installer is looking for).

I've verified the ISO image against the MD5 sum supplied, verified the disk
on burining, and verified the disk via the installer on the Sparc box - so
I think the media is okay.

Is this just a misbuild/package issue with the current image? The prior
image got much further than this before falling over with the Vim
dependancy problem. Again, thanks in advance for any light you can shed on
this... I'm more than happy to help out if there's something I can do my
end (admittedly, I've never been involved in Debian builds before so
probably not too much I can offer beyond testing).
