The glibc issue has already been resolved, however we're still missing a symlink to /dev/cdrom which udev needs to create. I have already patched /lib/udev/rules.d/60-cdrom-info.rules (not sure whether I remember the filename correctly, I'm on mobile), but udev upstream won't accept my pull request in its current form.
