Hi: If you're looking for Debian alpha/i386 kernel-images with all the recent security alerts (ptrace, ioperm, net hash) fixed, look no further.
For users of unstable, fixed packages are now in the archive. They will enter testing in about 10 days. For users of stable (woody), please get them from proposed-updates which is accessible with this /etc/apt/sources.list line: deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian stable-proposed-updates main contrib non-free Of course you can replace http.us.debian.org with your favourite mirror. Note that the kernel-image name has changed. It is now 2.4.20-2-<flavour> in woody instead of 2.4.20-<flavour>. You can overcome this problem by installing the kernel-image-2.4-<flavour> package which will always keep you up-to-date with the latest 2.4 kernel-image available. The change in the package name also means that you can easily revert to your existing kernel should anything go wrong since none its files will be replaced. -- Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 is out!
