Slightly topical question ... I just installed the OpenSSL security update, and then fired it up ... and asked it what its version is :
OpenSSL> version OpenSSL 0.9.6c 21 dec 2001 glimmer:~$ dpkg -l openssl ii openssl 0.9.6c-2.woody.6 Secure Socket Layer (SSL) .. and wondered ... shouldn't it really identify itself a little better than that ? Couldn't it say something like OpenSSL> version OpenSSL 0.9.6c - Debian 19 jan 2004 or even OpenSSL> version OpenSSL 0.9.6c 21 dec 2001 (Debian 19 jan 2004) if it must ? I'm a great believer in software being helpful ... when you ask it things :) Nick Boyce Bristol, UK -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
