Package: src:gnuplot Severity: normal Hi. Today I installed gnuplot5-qt to plot stuff. Then I tried to install some other package that Depends:gnuplot, and it demanded that I then install gnuplot5 also. Should this be necessary? I'm thinking that we should have more Provides tags to make more things work without requiring extra packages.
So anything that gives you a gnuplot that can make plots (gnuplot{,5}-{nox,x11,qt}) should Provides:gnuplot. And gnuplot5-* should Provides:gnuplot5. Does that sound reasonable? Thanks! dima -- debian-science-maintainers mailing list debian-science-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/debian-science-maintainers
