Hi Roger, thanks for your work on this issue. I confirm that you have removed the file in question from SVN and removed the usage of the compute_soi function from init.c and the function prototype from spdep.h. From my perspective this should deal with the complaints Debian ftpmaster had. I've put them in CC but I can not force them to reply rapidly. Usually they reply on uploads to the Debian new queue (and some additional explanation why a package might be urgent).
