hi, in packaging the R package deSolve, and i get several warnings:
I: r-cran-desolve: spelling-error-in-binary usr/lib/R/site-library/deSolve/libs/deSolve.so BANDWITH BANDWIDTH W: r-cran-desolve: package-contains-timestamped-gzip usr/lib/R/site-library/deSolve/doc/source/ddaspkcomments.txt.gz W: r-cran-desolve: package-contains-timestamped-gzip usr/lib/R/site-library/deSolve/doc/source/opkdmain.f.gz W: r-cran-desolve: package-contains-timestamped-gzip usr/lib/R/site-library/deSolve/doc/source/opkdmaincomments.txt.gz W: r-cran-desolve: package-contains-timestamped-gzip usr/lib/R/site-library/deSolve/doc/source/vodecomments.txt.gz the first i assume we can't fix, because it would potentially break things. do i add a lintian override for this? the latter involves the package author including some fortran source code amongst the documentation; however, they have provided it gzipped. do i lintian override these as well? with thanks jonathon -- JASP - A Fresh Way to Do Statistics http://jasp-stats.org/ -- How happy is he born and taught, That serveth not another's will; Whose armour is his honest thought, And simple truth his utmost skill This man is freed from servile bands Of hope to rise, or fear to fall: Lord of himself, though not of lands, And, having nothing, yet hath all. -- Sir Henry Wotton -- debian-science-maintainers mailing list debian-science-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/debian-science-maintainers
