I'm also interested in getting a newer meshlab into debian (sid), I've
had a short look at your
salsa package, and couldn't build it on sid.
You'd also want to add something like
* Team upload.
* New upstream version. (Closes: #946685, #910660)
to your d/changelog.
If you're on irc, that'd be great if you could /query tarzeau (me) or be
in #debian-science
