It looks like your Lintian run is failing because you committed debian/.debhelper, which should be removed from the Git repository. I would highly recommend setting up and using sbuild if you haven't already: https://wiki.debian.org/sbuild https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SimpleSbuild This allows you to run Lintian with every build. From many years ago, I go by the phrase "all sponsors are evil and pedantic," which roughly translates to the Lintian flags: `-EvIiL +pedantic` - and is the most verbose you're probably going to get.
