Thanks for reaching out.

Most of those packages should have rationale in the bug report itself. Some 
other packages seem to be new depends of a couple packages (prism, logger).

The Google stack was introduced due to googleauth (which unfortunately gets 
removed from testing today, I'm working on that); I see I added a few extras.

For some of these packages, if they're included in Ruby itself, I wasn't aware. 
We could probably get away with some Provides, but I'd need some more info 
there.

Please let me know if you have any more specific concerns and we can discuss. I 
don't have any more planned as of right now.
