Now I can say "Yes, they do" ;-) The only missing piece is aqsis, which can be NMUed easily if its maintainer doesn't reply to our request for an updated revision using the patch applied in ArchLinux (that fixes the problem with OpenEXR 2.x) in time for the transition start. I've already tested it both in unstable[1] (built against actual ilmbase/openexr packages in unstable/sid) and experimental[2] (built against these brand new ilmbase/openexr 2.2.0). So, do you think it can be a good time now to start this long-awaited transition? Thanks in advance. Cheers.
