It has no effect on squeeze->wheezy updates (these are done with
squeeze's apt).

There should be no effect on wheezy7.0->wheezy7.1 updates (there are no
packages disappearing or being added). So far I didn't see any.

This will have an impact on wheezy->jessie updates. (I simulated this
with backporting the patched wheezy apt to squeeze and doing
squeeze->wheezy updates with the patched apt).

Therefore I'd like to see this fixed in an early wheezy point release
s.t. the patched apt will be used for wheezy->jessie upgrades with high
probability.
