Dear release team managers,

by now the minimal version of the package libpam-ssh has been uploaded since 21
days,
and an upstream version of the package meant for the experimental distribution
is currently
investigated by the sponsor.

As reported in #685614 and #664177, libpam-ssh is important for some computer
and cluster setup;
for example, it can be used to mount the home partition on cluster using sshfs.
So its absence in Wheezy may cause some troubles during the coming upgrade as
it is already in Squeeze;
according to popcon, libpam-ssh has grossly 400 users.

As noticed in the original bug report, libpam-ssh was removed because some easy
to fix RC bugs
persisted due to its unofficial orphan state. It took me sometime to realize
that this package
was in an unofficial orphan state and that is was coldly removed because of
easy to fix RC bugs.
Second, as fresh Debian Aspirant Maintainer, it also took me sometime to see
how I can manage
its reintroduction and its update. Hence the nearly one year delay between its
removable and
its reintroduction in Sid, and its current absence in Wheezy.

Jerome
